I really understand the demands of a woman in a leadership position because I have served as a leader in healthcare, municipal government, cable television, Chamber of Commerce, and not-for-profits. (whew!) I know what it means to have many demands on my time, to feel unappreciated, and to wish for something better. By incorporating both my stress-management-instructor and coaching experience in my own life, I was able to exchange my stress for a fuller and richer life.
I have witnessed other women leaders and business owners become burned out and disenfranchised with their role. But, I have also been fortunate to observe women leaders who effectively overcame their challenges to lead happy and balanced lives.
I created my Focused Vitality programs, harnessing the qualities and wisdom of these wonderful women leaders with my own experience and coaching skills, in order to help others leap into the life they sometimes only dream about.
Several years ago I chose to transform my life when I took the leap from being a busy healthcare leader to a coach entrepreneur. I have never regretted this leap and love using the powerful tool of coaching to help enhance the lives of my clients. I am now living my dream!
My additional background as a registered nurse, health educator, and stress management instructor combined with my life coaching skills makes me the ideal coach to help clients create lives filled with success and joy.
I love to write and am also a contributing author in the book The Spirit of Women Entrepreneurs, where I give women leaders a concrete formula for staying organized while building a gratifying business.
I am a MBA graduate from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland. I obtained my coach designation from The Coaches Training Institute in California and have additional coach-certification through the International Coach Federation. I embrace my role as a life-long learner and an enthusiastic participant in additional coaching and personal/spiritual growth programs.
I have also taken advanced coaching classes through The Center for Right Relationships and Lucid Living. I am an officer in our local Toastmaster's International Club and actively involved in the Chamber of Commerce and Women's Business Network.
I share my life with Phil and we reside in Frederick, Maryland with cats Little Tiger and Little Frasier, parrots Quincey and Romeo, and a garage filled with bicycles and my precious golf clubs!
